data recovery

Failed drive? Deleted files? Corrupted database? Our specialists retrieve what looks lost, and you get an honest assessment before any work begins. Then we build safeguards so it doesn’t happen twice.

Before anything else

First, Stop. Don’t Run Recovery Software.

The worst damage in data-loss situations often happens after the failure: the drive restarted again and again, free recovery tools writing over the very sectors they’re trying to read, a RAID rebuilt in the wrong order. A failing disk has a limited number of spins left, and every improvised attempt spends them.

Bring it to us instead. You get an honest assessment first: what’s recoverable, what it will cost, and the odds, before any work begins. When a cleanroom specialist is the better answer, we’ll say so instead of experimenting on your drive. And once your data is back, we close the loop with the safeguards that make the next failure boring: tested backups and a recovery plan.

What’s included

What Data Recovery Includes

Six capabilities, from first triage to the safeguards afterward. The honest assessment always comes first.

Honest Triage First

An assessment of what’s recoverable and what it will cost, before any work begins. If the odds are poor, we say so.

Drive & SSD Recovery

Failed, clicking, or dropped hard drives and SSDs, recovered in-house where possible, escalated to cleanroom partners when physics demands it.

RAID & Server Recovery

Degraded arrays and corrupted volumes handled in the right order, because a wrong rebuild is how recoverable data becomes gone.

Deleted Files & Corruption

Deleted documents, formatted cards, and corrupted databases recovered with forensic-grade tools, with originals preserved untouched.

Chain of Custody & Privacy

Your data handled by our own security-first team: documented custody, encrypted storage, and verified destruction of working copies.

Afterward, the Safeguards

Once your data is back, we fix what let it vanish: tested backups, monitoring, and a recovery plan with your name on it.

Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity is Layer 21 of our framework. Data recovery is for when it wasn’t there yet; the layers keep it from being needed twice.

Questions

Data Recovery, Answered

My drive is clicking. What should I do right now?

Power it off and leave it off. Clicking usually means mechanical failure, and every additional spin risks the platters. Don’t run recovery software, don’t keep rebooting, and don’t open the case. Bring it in, or call 515.207.7777 and we’ll talk you through safe next steps.

Can you recover permanently deleted files?

Often, yes: “deleted” usually means the space is marked reusable, not that the data is gone. The odds drop the longer the drive stays in use, so stop writing to it and have it assessed. The honest answer comes from the assessment, not from a webpage.

How much does data recovery cost?

It ranges widely with the failure type, which is why the assessment comes first: you get a quote and a recovery likelihood before committing to anything. Severe physical failures that need a cleanroom cost more, and we’ll tell you when that’s the honest route rather than attempting it anyway.

Can you recover data after a ransomware attack?

Sometimes, and we’ll be straight about the odds, because the real answer to ransomware is immutable backups that attackers can’t reach. If you’re mid-incident, use the emergency line; if you’re planning ahead, start with backup & disaster recovery.

How do we make sure this never happens again?

You can’t make failure impossible; drives die and people misclick. What you can do is make failure uneventful: automated, tested backups with versions and offsite copies, so the next dead drive costs an afternoon instead of a crisis. That’s the first conversation we’ll have after your data is back.
