backup & disaster recovery

Automated, encrypted, and tested backups, paired with a recovery plan measured in hours. Backup and disaster recovery services for Des Moines businesses that can’t afford a week offline.

The problem

An Untested Backup Is Just a Hope.

Most businesses believe they have backups, right up until the restore fails. A sync service quietly skipped a folder. Ransomware encrypted the backup drive along with everything else. The cloud copy existed, but restoring it would take days nobody planned for. Data loss rarely announces itself; it’s discovered.

Disaster recovery is the discipline of proving the answer in advance. Netbringer automates your backups, encrypts them, keeps copies where ransomware can’t reach, and then actually restores them on a schedule to verify they work. When fire, flood, ransomware, or a wrong click takes something down, recovery is measured in hours, following a plan your team has already seen.

What’s included

What Backup & Disaster Recovery Includes

Six safeguards that turn “we think we’re backed up” into a tested plan. Together they deliver Layers 20 and 21 of the 22 Layers of Cybersecurity.

Automated Daily Backups

Servers, workstations, and cloud data captured automatically, with versions kept so you can roll back to before the problem.

Encryption & Immutable Copies

Backups encrypted in transit and at rest, with immutable copies designed so ransomware can’t alter or delete them.

Offsite & Cloud Replication

A current copy always lives outside your building, so fire, flood, or theft at the office doesn’t touch your history.

Scheduled Restore Testing

We restore real files and systems on a calendar, not in a crisis, and the results go in your report.

Recovery Time Objectives

We agree in advance how fast each system must come back, then design the backups around those numbers.

Business Continuity Planning

A written, plain-English plan for who does what when systems are down, from phones to payroll, reviewed with you yearly.

Backup and business continuity is Layer 21 of our defense-in-depth framework, and incident-response readiness is Layer 20. See how all twenty-two fit together.

Questions

Backup & Recovery, Answered

How often should a small business back up its data?

Daily at minimum for most businesses, and continuously for systems where losing even an hour hurts. The honest answer comes from one question: how much work can you afford to redo? We set backup frequency per system from that answer, not from a one-size default.

Will our backups survive a ransomware attack?

That’s the design goal of immutable, offsite copies: ransomware that encrypts your network can’t reach or rewrite them. No one should promise you invulnerability, which is why we also test restores on a schedule, so the proof is a recent successful recovery, not a brochure.

What's the difference between backup and disaster recovery?

Backup is the copy; disaster recovery is the plan that turns the copy back into a running business: in what order systems return, on what hardware, in how many hours, and who does what. We provide both, and we test both, as Layers 20 and 21 of our framework.

How fast can we be back up after a failure?

It depends on the system and the plan we’ve agreed: some restores take minutes, a full server rebuild takes longer. That’s why recovery time objectives are set per system up front, so the answer is a number you’ve already approved rather than a guess made during an outage.

We already sync to the cloud. Isn't that enough?

A cloud sync is better than nothing, but sync isn’t backup: deletions and ransomware sync too. And Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace retention has limits most businesses discover too late. True backup keeps independent, versioned, tested copies of everything that matters.
