managed print

Printers are computers too, and often the most neglected device on the network. Secure print management, fleet right-sizing, supplies, and support, with the security holes closed.

The problem

The Most Ignored Computer in Your Office

Nobody owns the printers, so everybody suffers them: mystery jams before deadlines, toner that runs out on invoice day, a fleet that grew one emergency purchase at a time, and devices with default admin passwords sitting on the same network as your accounting system. Printers are computers with hard drives and web servers; treating them as furniture is how they become the soft spot.

Managed print gives the fleet an owner. We right-size what you actually need, keep supplies arriving before they run out, fix problems remotely or on-site, and harden every device: passwords changed, firmware patched, print jobs released securely. Printing becomes boring, which is exactly what it should be.

What’s included

What Managed Print Includes

Six jobs that make printing invisible again. Printers are endpoints, so they’re hardened like endpoints.

Fleet Management & Right-Sizing

An inventory of what you have versus what you use, then a fleet matched to volume, with leases and purchases finally making sense.

Supplies Before You Run Out

Toner and consumables monitored and shipped automatically, so nobody discovers an empty cartridge on invoice day.

Support & Repair

Jams, errors, and driver mysteries fixed remotely where possible, on-site when needed, by the same helpdesk that runs your IT.

Print Security Hardening

Default passwords changed, firmware patched, unused services off, and devices segmented, because printers are a favorite way in.

Secure Print Release

Sensitive jobs release only when the right person is at the device, so payroll doesn’t sit in the output tray.

Usage Visibility

Who prints what, where the cost goes, and which devices earn their keep, reported so decisions get easy.

Secure configuration and hardening is Layer 14 of our framework, and it covers every device with an IP address, printers included. See the whole defense.

Questions

Managed Print, Answered

What are managed print services?

One partner owning the whole printing stack: hardware, supplies, support, security, and reporting, for a predictable monthly amount. You stop buying toner at retail, stop troubleshooting jams yourself, and stop guessing whether the fleet fits the business.

Are printers really a security risk?

Yes, and an underrated one: they’re network computers with storage, default passwords, and web interfaces, often untouched since installation. A compromised printer is a foothold on your network and a copy of what it printed. Hardening them is standard practice in our managed cybersecurity thinking.

Can you work with our existing printers and leases?

Usually. We assess what you have, honor existing leases where they make sense, and plan replacements on a schedule instead of in emergencies. No forklift required on day one.

Do you supply toner and consumables?

Yes. Devices report their own levels, and supplies ship before they run out, at contract pricing rather than retail panic-buy pricing.

What does managed print cost?

Typically a per-device or per-page amount scoped from your actual volume, and the first assessment often finds enough waste, unused devices, retail supplies, mismatched leases, to change the math. We’ll show you the numbers first.
